Kuta Beach

The beach is located south of Denpasar, the capital of Bali, Indonesia. Kuta Beach is also called Sunset beach as it opposite of Sanur (Sunrise) beach. Since the '70s Kuta Beach is one of the main destinations in Bali for domestic and foreign tourists.

Kuta has become quite busy and there is plenty of accommodation from budget hostels to five-star hotels. The many cheap bars and clubs have transformed Kuta into a party centre and is very popular as a holiday destination for Australians.

Besides partying there are some other things you can do here:

  • Surfing: To hire a board is only about Rp. 50,000 to Rp. 150,000 per day including a short training for 30 minutes. Kuta is a good place to practice since the waves are not so big
  • Waterboom park: Has an area of 3800 square meters. Entrance fee for adults is Rp.140.000
  • Shopping: within walking distance are many small souvenir shops and shopping malls like Kuta Square and Discovery Shopping Mall.

Or you can just enjoy the beautiful sunset. A visit to Bali is not complete without having been in Kuta beach.
