Things to see
One of the historical site you can visit in this city is Tianyi Pavilion Museum. In this museum there is the oldest library in China, the Tianyige Library. This library was built in 1516 in the Ming Dynasty by Fan Qin where there are lots of books from the 11th century in it. You can also visit one of the famous temples in this city, Baoguo Temple. This temple is also one of the historical temples located in the Jiangbei District or about fifteen kilometers northern of Ningbo.

In Xiaoshan Garden, you can walk around and relax with family. This park offers cool and beautiful scenery. While in Ningbo Harborland Park, you can try various exciting rides. There is also Ningbo Zoo. You can get around in the zoo and spend time with family while enjoying beautiful rare protected flora and fauna.

As a port city, Ningbo is rich of seafood as well as fresh vegetables and fruit. One typical food is the Tang Bao, a kind of bun typically of Ningbo. One more special food in this town is Stewed Turtle Rock Sugar, food with soft shell turtle as the main ingredient cooked with sugar crystals. It is said that the food is believed to bring benefits in terms of health as well as improving body fluids to strengthen the function of the organs of the body. Do not miss also to taste Yeng Tang, a famous a sweet snack in Ningbo. This one is a hot soup containing boiled a mixture of sesame and sugar beans glutinous rice flour balls.
